HTC One Being Updated to Android 4.2.2 In The UK

HTC One UK Update:

For over a week, the Android 4.2.2 Update for the HTC One has been in rolling out to users in various parts of Europe, but today, HTC UK officially announced on its Twitter, that it is the Official UK Launch Day, and you should be able to download and install the update on your phone.

The new update builds upon the already amazing flagship, by improving the Launcher and Widgets, adding the ability to use Lock Screen Widgets, a way to re map your Capacitive buttons and disable the on screen overlay menu button, adding Quick Setting Toggles to the notification shade, and bringing Instagram support for its famed BlinkFeed. The Update also brings new Video Highlights, and the ability to lock AF/AE in the Camera App.

BlinkFeed has undoubtedly been one of the most popular features of the HTC One, and I myself think it looks brilliant. However I don’t think it warrants an upgrade just yet, and I don’t think the HTC One will be my next choice. HTC have been through some struggles just recently and it just doesn’t sit well for me, the HTC One however does have an amazing build quality.

This new Update is also rolling out to other countries, including Spain, Ireland, and Saudi Arabia, and Three UK just confirmed that it is also rolling out the 4.2.2 update on its devices.
