Sony Xperia ZU specs leaked – 6.4-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, 2.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8 MP camera, 2 GB RAM. 16 GB ROM and 3000 mAh battery:
Are you excited about the Sony’s upcoming phablet “Xperia ZU (U stands for Ultra)”? According to the rumors around the web, this new phablet is expected to launch on 4th of July at company’s press event in France at 09:30. We also heard about another Sony’s press event on 25th of June in Germany and Shanghai. So we can also expect the debut of Sony Xperia ZU phablet on that day.
Talking about the specifications, ePrice claims that the new Xperia ZU will come with a 6.4-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS LCD display with 342ppi of pixel density and Sony’s OptiContrast panel technology. The Xperia ZU will be IP55 and IP58 certified, which means the device will be dust-proof and water-proof. The device can be emerged in water at 1.5 meters of depth for 30 minutes.
The Sony Xperia ZU will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz. With a RAM of 2 GB, the device will have an internal memory of 16 GB and will also support the microSD card up to 64 GB. The primary camera will be 8-megpixels Exmor RS, which supports HD video recording and front camera will be 1.3-megapixels Exmor R. The Sony Xperia ZU is also packed with a quite large 3000 mAh non-removable battery.
The Xperia ZU was also expected to come with a Stylus. But according to ePrice, there’ll be no stylus with the device. Rather the device will be compatible with various forms of pen-inputs like pencils, pens etc.
Currently there’s no idea about the price of Xperia ZU. So for now, we’re just waiting for June 25 to arrive and hoping to hear an official announcement about the Sony Xperia ZU.
