Falcon Pro’s latest 2.0.3 version is not available, but older 2.0.2 version has been published for users:
Update – DOWNLOAD THE OLD APK HERE (Lets you get a new token to Sign back in)
Just recently the famous Twitter app “Falcon Pro” reset the API tokens and the next day it looked like they had all been used. Twitter tokens is their way of limiting the number of users that can use an app, each login requires tokens. When a token limit has been reached, that particular app can no longer issue tokens. But how is this possible? Definitely something wrong has happened with Falcon Pro, that night the developer had reset his token count, the next morning it seemed all the Tokens had been used. Users were being blocked from Signing in on version 2.0.3. What users see is an error message as same as were before the earlier this week’s reset. The message users see is “Sorry, please try again later. This application cannot authenticate more users at this time.”
After this unfortunate incident, Falcon Pro’s developer Joaquim Verges thinks that twitter may have shut him down. He unpublished the app from the Play Store so that users don’t get confused, but the older version 2.0.2 has been published for the locked out users. So such users can Login from here, Sign in button is on the top. Joaquim Verges is not looking to publish the 2.0.3 version of Falcon Pro until he figure out the problem.
The reason behind this could be that Falcon Pro has more than one active application key i.e. he would generate a new application key whenever reaching to the 100,000 tokens limit, which is a clear violation of Twitter’s rule. Twitter also made it clear a long time ago that the number of users for a third party app are limited.
But Joaquim Verges is not giving up. He wants a better ending for his project and assures that the Falcon Pro will be back. Android Authority talked to the developer. He doesn’t have all the details. But what he know is that the last version has 32,000 downloads, about 3.3 tokens per user with new multi-account support which is really a high average. Verges will take his time to sort out the things before he makes any changes and as I said before he assures the return of Falcon Pro. Till then, head to the older 2.0.2 version of the app and Login as normal.
